Of all the things that can be said about this album, the most notable are the lyrics; the Psalms themselves, and the tunes to which they are sung. Since it is the Word of God that cleanses us, and faith itself comes from hearing the Word of God, I found these songs rejouvinating and uplifting whether I am stuffing my 500 watts (RMS) amplifier with ""Show Me"" or allowing ""I lift up my eyes"" to gently reassure me that my help does indeed comes from the Lord.


Yes indeed, there is an undeniable presence of the Lord in this album and that cuts across your whatever musical background or interest you may have. I find that each song has its own individuality and that collectively they form a pleasant journey into the very heart of God. Though a little different from the music I normally listen to, it is the anointing of the Lord on this album that prompted me to buy this album. I can't recall the number of times that the Holy Spirit has got me singing one of these songs in my heart, and always with a warmth joy and assurance that can only come from the Lord.


If it were not for the use of traditional Indian instruments, it would be next to impossible to discern the origin of this album. Abey, Swapna, Traven and all the musicians have done well to draw from their wide range of musical influences in order to capture the essence, or dare I say 'soul', of each Psalm skillfully. Being the first of its kind in many ways, I applaud the efforts put in by Varghese and the team to bring out music that will encourage and uplift millions worldwide.
